Corporate Policies


At GroundWork0 we practice social responsibility with a consistent effort and consciousness of the environment and the preservation of resources to the best of our ability. One example is by driving the right car. At GroundWork0, all of the owners contribute in this way by driving green. Two of our owners drive Hybrid vehicles and the other has a diesel. Our “fleet” averages about 38 MPG and we love the gas savings.


A large majority of the electronics that we sell (over 90% of cost of goods sold) are procured from two major distributors. Westcon Corporation and Tech Data Corporation. These are large, well-respected corporations in our industry that are headquartered in the United States. We have every reason to believe that they are aware of, and enforce, strict labor and environmentally friendly policies.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are a consideration at GroundWork0 even though we are a small company in the information and technology industry. Safety: We do a majority of our work in office environments that are safe by nature. Sometimes we are hired to do work in a place that is still under construction and is considered a construction zone by local authorities. In these situations, we abide by the safety rules and regulations of the worksite as dictated by the project manager or local authorities in charge of enforcing safety regulations. Our employees are sometimes subjected to drug testing and background checks to be allowed to work in certain environments for safety purposes. As a small company, we are very conscious of safety for all of our employees and do not require them to perform any duties that expose them to risk. Health: At GroundWork0 we provide all full-time employees with health care benefits that include preventive care. Our office has a small gym that is available to all employees for use. We also sponsor several youth sports teams in our area as a commitment to the community and encouragement of healthy endeavors.

Collective Bargaining

Because of our small size at GroundWork0, we don’t practice collective bargaining. All contracts with employees are negotiated on an individual basis and contain the terms and conditions of set employment. All employees are considered at will employees.

GroundWork0 is a company that is committed to keeping a workplace that is free of unlawful discrimination and harassment, and does not tolerate any type of those behaviors.


GroundWork0 has a zero-tolerance policy towards violence. Any employee is at risk of automatic termination in the instance of any violence in the workplace.

Child Labor

GroundWork0 is a high-level service organization that specializes in IT work. We don’t produce or distribute anything that we sell so there is no child labor abuse in our organization. However, under no circumstances do we endorse the use of child labor. Furthermore if we had any information that our supply chain was involved with or utilized child labor in any capacity, we would immediately disassociate with that supplier.

Community Participation

GroundWork0 is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan which affords us many opportunities to interact with the community and many diverse organizations that promote responsible policies. We sponsor many community organizations such as Angels Night volunteer campaign, AAU and PAL. Angels Night volunteer campaign is a program that tries to fight home vandalism and destruction on the day before Halloween. Amateur Athletic Union is one of the largest non-profit organizations in the United States.

Supplier Diversity

At GroundWork0, about 90% of our costs come from two companies. This is a result of being a small company engaged in a specific product and service. Although we are aware of supplier diversity in the workplace, our particular business model does not necessitate the use of a lot of suppliers.

Bribery & Corruption

At GroundWork0 we recognize that bribery and corruption are damaging to legitimate business interests. We conduct all of our business in an honest, ethical, and transparent manner and we want to ensure that all of our associates and business partners do the same.

Freedom of Association

GroundWork0 conducts all business dealings in compliance with applicable federal, provincial and local laws. Freedom of association is guaranteed under the Fair Labor Standards Act and as such GroundWork0 respects this right.

Employment Guidelines

To ensure that GroundWork0 follows consistent labor and employment policies, our employment guidelines clearly set forth our expectations. These guidelines require, first, that our policies and actions are in full compliance with the laws and regulations of the respective countries in which we operate. These guidelines and expectations are given to the employee when hired and are accessible at any time.
